Situated on a unique sandy peninsula on the North Dublin coastline, Portmarnock Golf Club has a rich history and an outstanding layout.
Portmarnock Golf Club is the leading links course in Dublin. Just North of the City on a great stretch of coastline and only 10 miles from the airport. Comfortably among the top 50 in the world on a consistent basis.
The Irish Open has played here nearly 20 times along with the Walker Cup, the Irish Amateur Close Championship and the British Amateur Championship. Located on 500 acres of a sandy peninsula facing the Irish Sea, the club opened in 1894. The site is fairly flat with rolling hollows that are natural and interesting. The greens are well know for being consistent and true.
