Druids Glen Golf Club has recently reopened following a multi-million-euro investment project that, we believe, has re-positioned Druids Glen among the finest parkland courses in Europe again.
The project has seen the construction of new greens, tee boxes, bunkering and the implementation of new irrigation. Minor tweaks were made to the course design, while attempting to stay true to the original layout. A new modern clubhouse has also been constructed and the previous clubhouse, Woodstock House, will be converted into a luxury golf hotel which will open in 2024.
The resort, which was originally built in the 16th century as Woodstock House, has a rich history that includes hosting famous musicians and being the site of four Irish Opens - with Colin Montgomerie and Sergio Garcia among the winners. With the renovations, Druids Glen Golf Course is poised to reclaim its place as one of the top golf destinations in Europe.
